Social Worker/Vocational Specialist-We are seeking a Social Worker to be a clinical staff member of the ACT community based multidisciplinary treatment team. Services provision is designed to promote recovery by improving psychiatric symptoms, preventing relapse, teaching skills, providing direct assistance and securing necessary community resources. Duties include: function as the lead for vocational and educational services; offer assistance in all phases of educational and vocational development programming including vocational assessment, job exploration, and skills development as they seek to enroll in an educational/vocational program and/or obtain and maintain employment. Use strength based methodologies, continually instill hope, develop and maintain trusting and supportive relationships with clients, families, other providers and the community. This is a community based positon which includes meeting with clients in their homes as well as provide on-call crisis intervention services on a rotation with other team members. Minimum qualifications include: Master’s Degree in Social Work with licensure, hold a license as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State, Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Certification from The Commission on Rehabilitation Counseling. Three years of experience working in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting preferred. A valid and insurable NYS driver’s license is also required. Monday through Friday, day time hours with rotating on-call when the office is closed. There is a $150 weekly stipend for the rotating on-call. Dominion House Residence Counselor Full Time- Providing supportive counseling to adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis and who live in a short-term stabilization program (group home). Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent. Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; 6 months-1year experience in human services preferred; valid and insurable driver’s license. 40 hours per week; $14.61/hour; $30,388/annual equivalent. Schedule 1: Must have availability for all shifts. Schedule will change depending on the program needs and with 2 weeks’ notice.
