Program Director Curry House– We are seeking an energetic, organized candidate to overseeing the operation of Curry House, a group home in Schenectady serving 12 adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis. We value quality service to our clients and a supportive work environment. Duties include: all aspects of client services including evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provision that are client centered and have a focus on transition. In addition: administration of Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversees maintenance of facility, and program budget.  Supervision of all staff members including staff training and development, on-call administrative duties to assist staff members.  Participation in agency supervisory team which influences the activities of the agency.  Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in human services required, 2+ years’ experience working with the mentally ill and 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity also required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. NYS Driver’s license required.   Schedule- Monday-Friday with daytime hours, shared on-call for staff guidance (over the phone). $45,164/annual equivalent plus benefits.

 

Forensic Transitional Case Manager – We are seeking someone who is very organized, has good communication skills, and experience to assist mental health clients with discharge planning from jails and prisons linking them with needed community services.  This will include working collaboration with other providers in the forensic system and community.  In addition, oversee the Medication Grant Program and assist with the application process for Medicaid and other entitlements to ensure the client has continuing access to psychotropic mediations and needed services after discharge.  As the Representative Payee for current and former clients, help clients manage their finances, pay their bills and develop the skills needed to gradually assume responsibility for these tasks on their own. Qualifications include: BA/BS in Human Services or related field preferred; Associate’s Degree in Human Services Required. In addition 1 year human services exp., and 1 year exp. in case management, advocacy and benefit entitlement required.  1 year exp. working with the forensic population strongly preferred.  A valid and insurable NYS driver’s license required.  $15.87/hour; $33,009/annual equivalent.  Schedule – Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

 

Service Coordinator Full-Time – Providing supportive counseling to adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis and who live in independent apartments in the Schenectady community.  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; 6 months-1year experience in human services preferred; valid and insurable driver’s license. 40 hours per week; $14.87/hour; $30,929/annual equivalent. Schedule-Monday-Friday, day time hours. On-Call for Client Emergencies on a rotating bases for 1 week.

 

Dominion House Residence Counselor Full Time- Providing supportive counseling to adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis and who live in a short-term stabilization program (group home).  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; 6 months-1year experience in human services preferred; valid and insurable driver’s license. 40 hours per week; $14.28/hour; $29,702/annual equivalent.

Schedule 1:  Must have availability for all shifts. Schedule will change depending on the program needs and with 2 weeks’ notice.

Residence Counselor–Full Time and Part Time – Provide supportive counseling to adults with a psychiatric diagnosis living in a group home setting. Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; demonstrated ability in helping others, valid and insurable driver’s license.  $13.69/hour; $28,475.20/annual equivalent.
