Dominion House Program Director – We are seeking an energetic, organized candidate to overseeing the operation of Dominion House, a short-term, stabilization group home in Schenectady serving 12 adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis. We value quality service to our clients and a supportive work environment.  Duties include: all aspects of client services including evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provision that are client centered and have a focus on transition. In addition: administration of Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversees maintenance of facility, and program budget.  Supervision of all staff members including staff training and development, on-call administrative duties to assist staff members.  Participation in agency supervisory team.  Bachelor’s degree in human services required. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychiatric Rehab preferred.  5 years’ experience working with the mentally ill and 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity also required.  NYS Driver’s license required.  Monday-Friday. Day time hours.  $51,819/annual equivalent.

We value quality service to our clients and a supportive work environment.  Duties include: all aspects of client services including evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provision that are client centered and have a focus on transition. In addition: administration of Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversees maintenance of facility, and program budget.  Supervision of all staff members including staff training and development, on-call administrative duties to assist staff members.  Participation in agency supervisory team which influences the activities of the agency.  Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in human services required, 2+ years’ experience working with the mentally ill and 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity also required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. NYS Driver’s license required.   Schedule- Monday-Friday with daytime hours, shared on-call for staff guidance (over the phone). $45,164/annual equivalent plus benefits.

Assistant Program Directors at Curry House and Jones Home – Full Time – Curry House and Jones Home are both group homes serving clients with a mental illness located in Schenectady, NY.  Duties include assisting the Program Director with the oversight of the daily operations, client services, staff supervision, and overseeing a healthy clean environment for our clients.  Qualification include: BA/BS in human services and 1-year experience in human services, Associates degree in human services with 3 years’ experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. In addition, experience working with the mentally ill pop and residential experience required. Supervisor experience preferred. Valid and insurable driver’s license required.  $16.08/hour: $33,446.40/annual equivalent.

Residence Counselor–Full Time – Provide supportive counseling to adults with a psychiatric diagnosis living in a group home setting.  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; demonstrated ability in helping others, valid and insurable driver’s license.  $13.69/hour; $28,475.20/annual equivalent.

Relief Counselor – Per Diem/Part Time – Substitute (per diem) counselors needed to providing supportive counseling in a group home setting, teaching of daily living skills including medication management, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for adults with a mental illness. Qualifications include college classes in human services preferred, demonstrated experience helping others, valid and insurable driver’s license. $12.79/hour.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Part Time (14 Hours Per Week) – The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a member of the ACT Team, a community based multidisciplinary treatment team, and in conjunction with the Program Director and Psychiatrist, provides oversight of the delivery of clinical services.  The Nurse Practitioner has three main functions: Provision of psychiatric assessment and treatment utilizing a client centered approach while taking into consideration complex medical issues; sharing knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment, with the goal of educating and guiding the multidisciplinary team; and oversight of the development, maintenance, and supervision of medication administration.  Minimum qualification include: NYS Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is licensed to practice medicine in the state in which the program is operating. Board certification is preferred.  Has strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with serious mental illness; a minimum of three years of experience in psychiatry is required.  Must have a strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person with a mental illness to make own decisions and choose, live in the community, work, and have access to continuous support and services to enhance wellness. This positon will be community based therefore a valid and insurable driver’s license is required.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Please state salary requirement in cover letter.
