Program Director Emmanuel House– We are seeking an energetic, organized candidate to overseeing the operation of Emmanuel House, a group home in Schenectady serving 10 adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis. We value quality service to our clients and a supportive work environment.  Duties include: all aspects of client services including evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provision that are client centered and have a focus on transition. In addition: administration of Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversees maintenance of facility, and program budget.  Supervision of all staff members including staff training and development, on-call administrative duties to assist staff members.  Participation in agency supervisory team which influences the activities of the agency.  Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in human services required, 2+ years’ experience working with the mentally ill and 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity also required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. NYS Driver’s license required.   Schedule- Monday-Friday with daytime hours, shared on-call for staff guidance (over the phone). Temporary COVID hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30-4:30 in the office with Friday 8:30-4:30 working from home.  $46,203/annual equivalent.

 

Assistant Program Director at Jones Home – Full TimeJones Home is a group homes serving clients with a mental illness located in Schenectady, NY.  Duties include assisting the Program Director with the oversight of the daily operations of the group home, client services including teaching of daily living skills that is client-centered, staff supervision, and overseeing a safe, healthy, and clean environment for our clients.  Qualification include: BA/BS in human services and 1-year experience in human services, Associates degree in human services with 3 years’ experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. In addition, experience working with the mentally ill pop and residential experience required. Supervisor experience preferred. Valid and insurable driver’s license required.  $16.45/hour: $34,216/annual equivalent.  40 hours per week.

Care Manager (Case Manager) for the Health Home– We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates initiative, confidence, and a focus on making positive connections to coordinate care management services by integrating, overseeing and monitoring all aspects of the physical and behavioral health needs of Health Home Clients.  Engage clients and assess eligibility for care mgt and Home and Community Based Services. Complete comprehensive assessments;  develop and monitor interdisciplinary plan of care aimed at achieving stability within the community; provide referrals and linkages to community services; regularly communicate with other care providers to exchange information and identify needs; provide outreach to those that are in need but not currently receiving service and coordinating with Managed Care Companies.  Min qualification: BA/BS in Human Services and 2 years human services exp. OR BA/BS in another field with 5 years human service exp; 1 year in case mgt(defined as experience in assessment of client’s need, care planning, implementation of care plan and regular review along with benefit entitlements, linkage to community providers and services); a demonstrated ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team, knowledge of mental illness/behavioral health, substance abuse, physical/medical health, and homelessness is required, and a valid and insurable NYS driver’s license.  1year’s exp. working in a health care setting providing direct care to clients is preferred.  $17.60/hour.  $36,608/annual equivalent.  40 hours/week. Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours.  Some flexibility with early morning hours as clients might have early morning medical appointments.

 

Dominion House Residence Counselor Full Time- Providing supportive counseling to adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis and who live in a short-term stabilization program (group home).  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; 6 months-1year experience in human services preferred; valid and insurable driver’s license. 40 hours per week; $14.61/hour; $30,388/annual equivalent.

Schedule 1:  Must have availability for all shifts.  Schedule will change depending on the program needs and with 2 weeks’ notice.

Overnight Counselor-Part Time – Providing supportive counseling to adults with a psychiatric diagnosis living in a group home setting.  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent. Qualifications include a demonstrated ability in helping others, some colleges classes preferred, driver’s license preferred but not required.  32 hours per week.  $14.00/hour; $23,296/annual equivalent.  Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – Off

Friday/Saturday – 10:30 pm overnight until Saturday at 9:00 am

Saturday/Sunday – 10:30 pm overnight until Sunday at 9:00 am

Sunday/Monday – 10:30pm overnight until Monday at 9:30am

 

Note- There is about 4 hours of tasks that need to be complete each night.  The Overnight Counselor has to be available for clients if they need anything during the middle of the night; however if it is quiet the Overnight Counselor can rest for the remainder of the shift once the tasks are complete.

 

Residence Counselor Temporary Positions Available – We are hiring temporary Residence Counselors which could turn into full time positions.  Duties include providing supportive counseling to adults who have a psychiatric diagnosis and who live in a community residence (group home).  This position will have a full time schedule with benefits and “float” to the four group homes based on program needs.  Duties include teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention, and maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients to become independent.  Qualifications include college classes in human services, BA preferred; demonstrated ability in helping others; valid and insurable driver’s license. 40 hours per week; $14.00/hour; $29,120/annual equivalent.  Schedule: Must have availability for all shifts.  Schedule will change depending on the program needs and with 2 weeks’ notice.
