Director of Quality Assurance and Training- We are seeking an Administrator to oversee the functions of Quality Assurance and Staff Training for a small, nonprofit located in Schenectady, NY.  Responsibilities include: Developing, implementing and maintaining processes that ensure the delivery of quality services to all clients served by the agency and that the agency is in full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  Oversee a program of staff development and training ensuring staff members have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively carry of the responsibilities of their position.  Prepare summary reports related to the findings of quality assurance activities to be shared with the Management Team and/or Board of Directors.  Serve as Mohawk Opportunities’ Compliance Officer overseeing all aspects of the agency’s efforts to ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements related to agency operations (service delivery and business practices). Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk for fraud and abuse; conduct periodic audit reviews of identified risk areas to ensure adherence to proper procedures and regulatory requirements; develop corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.  Review findings from external reviews/audits and work with the management team to ensure appropriate follow-up.  Establish annual staff training and development goals.  Develop and maintain a curriculum for all required trainings.  Minimum Qualifications – Combination of education and experience as follows: Bachelor’s degree in human services discipline or education and four years’ experience in the mental health field, or Associate’s degree in human services and ten years’ experience in the mental health field.  In addition, two years supervisory experience; experience with quality assurance, compliance and audits/reviews; and experience with researching, organizing and presenting trainings or educational workshops.  Candidates must have the ability to be organized and clearly communicate both orally and in writing along with strong organizational skills and detail-orientated.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  Please send salary requirements with cover letter.  Schedule: This position is a Monday through Friday; 8:30a.-4:30pm.


Social Worker-We are seeking a Social Worker to be a clinical staff member of the ACT community based multidisciplinary treatment team.  Services provision is designed to promote recovery by improving psychiatric symptoms, preventing relapse, teaching skills, providing direct assistance and securing necessary community resources.   Duties include: function as the lead for vocational and educational services; offer assistance in all phases of educational and vocational development programming including vocational assessment, job exploration, and skills development as they seek to enroll in an educational/vocational program and/or obtain and maintain employment.   Use strength based methodologies, continually instill hope, develop and maintain trusting and supportive relationships with clients, families, other providers and the community. This is a community based positon which includes meeting with clients in their homes as well as provide on-call crisis intervention services on a rotation with other team members. Minimum qualifications include: Master’s Degree in Social Work with licensure, hold a license as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State, Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Certification from The Commission on Rehabilitation Counseling.  Three years of experience working in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting preferred.  A valid and insurable NYS driver’s license is also required.  Monday through Friday, day time hours with rotating on-call when the office is closed. There is a $150 weekly stipend for the rotating on-call. Please send cover letter/resume with salary requirements.


Housing Coordinator – We are seeking a candidate to work in our Supported Housing Program.  The duties include: provide case management services; securing safe and affordable housing; teaching the necessary skills to maintain stable housing; developing linkages to community services; and develop support plans for adults who have a diagnosis of mental illness.  College degree in human services and/or equivalent experience in the human service field especially in the populations diagnosed with mental illness, substance abuse, and chronic homelessness.  In addition, case management experience and a valid and insurable driver’s license are required. 40 hours per week working Monday-Friday day time hours.  No after hour on-call.  $15.37/hour.  $31,969/annual equivalent.
