Assistant Program Director at Dominion House Full TimeWe are seeking a candidate who is very organized, has good communication skills, and experience.  Dominion House is a stabilization program serving adults with a mental illness in Schenectady.  The duties of the position include assisting the Program Director with the oversight of the daily operations of the program, client centered services, staff supervision and mentoring, and overseeing a healthy clean environment for our clients.  This position oversees the completion by staff members of client centered services and the required documentation.  Qualification include: BA/BS in human services and 1-year experience in human services or Associates degree in human services with 3 years’ experience. In addition, exp. working with the mentally ill pop and residential exp. required. Supervisor experience preferred. Valid and insurable driver’s license required.  $17.73/hour; 40 hours per week.  $36,878.40/annual equivalent. Overtime is available; $26.60/overtime pay rate.

Case Manager Full time responsible for coordinating case management services for the Certified Apartment Program clients, assist clients in applying for, coordinate and pursue benefit entitlements, providing supportive, goal-oriented counseling with a focus on decision-making and problem solving skills; and developing and implementing service plans.  Advocate with or on behalf of client’s to other agencies to ensure access to needed service. In addition, complete fee agreements, fee schedules, and financial status and client ledger sheets.  Record necessary financial information and file all benefit correspondence.  Communicate regularly with Finance Dept. to review and reconcile clients’ accounts. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Human Services, 1 year experience in case management, ability to clearly communication both orally and in writing, ability to be flexible, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through with multiple tasks, and computer experience.  Must have a valid and insurable driver’s license.  Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime.  $16.62/hour; $34,569.60/annual equivalent.

Jones Home is a group homes serving clients with a mental illness located in Schenectady, NY.  Duties include assisting the Program Director with the oversight of the daily operations of the group home, client services including teaching of daily living skills that is client-centered, staff supervision, and overseeing a safe, healthy, and clean environment for our clients.  Qualification include: BA/BS in human services and 1-year experience in human services, Associates degree in human services with 3 years’ experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. In addition, experience working with the mentally ill pop and residential experience required. Supervisor exp preferred. Valid and insurable driver’s license required. $16.78/hour: $34,902.40/annual equivalent. Overtime is available; $25.17/overtime pay rate.  40 hours per week.

Assistant Program Director at Apartment Program – Full Time ––

The Assistant Program Director working in the Certified Apartment Program serving clients with a mental illness who are living in independent apartments throughout Schenectady.  Duties include assisting the Program Director with the oversight of the daily operations, client services, and staff supervision.  This position would specifically work with private landlords to obtain apartments and resolve any apartment issues.  In addition, coordinate the set-up of the apartments and ensuring the apartments are safe and maintained.  Qualifications include: BA/BS in human services and 1-year experience in human services, Associates degree in human services with 3 years’ experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. In addition, experience working with the mentally ill pop and residential experience required. Supervisor experience preferred. Valid and insurable driver’s license required.  $18.11/hour: $37,668.80/annual equivalent. Overtime is available; $27.17/overtime pay rate.  Schedule- Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

 

Dominion House Case Manager – Full Time

Provide service plan development and case management services to clients at Dominion House.  Coordinate all collaborative meetings with counselors and clients to facilitate residential treatment plan meetings then write individual service plans using the a client centered approach.  In addition, provide case management services to clients including benefit entitlements.  Qualifications include BA in human services or combination of degree and experience.  Excellent written skills, communication skills, and computer skills required along with mental health exp.  A valid and insurable driver’s license also required.  40 hours per week.  $16.62/hour.  $34,569.60/annual equivalent.  Overtime is available; $24.93/overtime pay rate.

Relief Counselor/Respite – Per Diem

We are looking for everyday heroes who want to make a difference in the lives of people in need!

Mohawk Opportunities, a small private, nonprofit located in Schenectady is seeking per diem (substitute) Relief Counselors to work in our 4 group homes. We serve adults who have a mental illness and are working on goals to transition to an independent setting. The clients we work with are very high functioning and are in the community independently. We DO NOT provide personal care and we DO NOT do physical restraints. All the services to our clients are verbal supportive counseling and teaching of daily living skills. We provide personal protective equipment and follow all CDC guidelines. You must be available for all shifts. Driver’s license is not required but preferred. Counselors must be willing to work in the group home if there is a COVID exposure. Regular rate $14.28/hour and the rate will increase to time and a half, $19.62/hour if there is a COVID exposure. We provide training and a supportive work environment.
